For watch collectors, a timepiece is much more than a functional product telling time. It's a storytelling statement, fitted to your personal preferences and needs. REC Watches understands that message very well, and made storytelling a core component of their mission. With the concept of Recover, Recycle, Reclaim they always involve the story of an iconic sports car, motor bike or even airplane to their models. On top of that, a physical piece of material of the specific icon is added as well.
It makes the icon "touchable", and in combination with great designs it results in a watch brand that is different. The Limited Collection offers a variety of atches where the origins of cars like the Porsche 993 Guntherwerks or even the last Lotus Formula 1 car in JPS livery, driven by Ayrton Senna is woven into the design and concept of the watch. When you're in love with the legendary Spitfire fighter jet REC also has the appropriate watch for you: a pilots watch, featuring elements from X4009, the most legendary of all spitfires.
The more affordable Core Collection taps inspiration from 1960's GT cars and 1980's Turbo cars. This does not involve physical elements from the iconic inspiration which makes the production process more easy and prices more attainable. The Tourer and Turbo models look funky and casual and make a real nice proposition.
From now on, DailyWatch will carry selected examples from both the Limited and the Core collections in our shop.
